Sint-Truidense V.V announces its recruitment of Japanese national goalkeeper Daniel Schmidt. The next signings will be Cong Phuong, which is set to be held on July 5, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
In the plan to expand the market in Asia, Belgium side Sint-Truidense V.V Club continues to take another star to Stayen stadium: Japanese national goalkeeper Daniel Schmidt.
Sint-Truidense announced that it had reached an agreement to recruit Daniel Schmidt. The 27-year-old goalkeeper will play the final match for Vegalta Sendai on July 13 and then transfer to Sint-Truidense for a medical examination.
Speaking before joining the new team, Daniel Schmidt expressed, "I am very happy that the two clubs have reached a transfer agreement and I will soon play in STVV. I will try my best to contribute value to the team”.
Daniel Schmidt, 27, possess the height of 1,97 meters. He soon found out his talent when playing for Chuo University team and then signed a professional contract with Sendai Vegalta Club.
At the last AFC Asian Cup 2019, Daniel Schmidt had an excellent match in Japan's 2-1 win over Uzbekistan. At the match against Vietnam in the quarterfinals, the 27-year-old sat on the bench.
In the coming days, Sint-Truidense will soon announce the next rookie Nguyen Cong Phuong when the contract between the Belgian club and HAGL will be signed in Ho Chi Minh City on July 5. Vietnam national forward will play for Sint-Truidense under a loan for season 2019-2020.
