The Football Association of Thailand has announced their U22 roster for the SEA Games 2019, which is expected to defend their championship.
The list features established names like Worachit Kanitsribampen, Ratthanakorn Maikami, Peerawat Akkatam, Shinnaphat Leeaoh, Saringkan Promsupa, who played in the SEA Games 2017.
Coach Nishino added Thai-Italian midfielder who trained in Cesena. Supachai Jaded and Supachok Sarachat are excluded as they will join the national team for the World Cup qualifiers.
The forwards include Sittichok Paso, who once played for Kagoshima United in J-League 3. He was named among the top 60 most talented players in the world in 2016.
The midfielders include international Anon Amornlerdsak (Bangkok United), Buriram’s key player Ratthanakorn Maikami, and Worachit Kanitsribampen (Chonburi).
Thailand U22 is in group B with Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, Brunei.
Vietnam lost 0-3 to Thailand in the SEA Games 2017 but defeated Thailand 4-0 in the AFC U23 Championship 2019 qualifiers.
