Phan Duc Huy is likely to miss the battle against Ho Chi Minh City FC at V-League 2019 due to injury reasons from round 17. The match was considered an early final of the league.
Visiting Hanoi gave Duc Huy a start in the match of round 17, playing alongside Do Hung Dung.
The 24-year-old, however, maintained 30 minutes on the pitch before being substituted out, replaced by Quang Hai being given a break for Hanoi’s long run.
Duc Huy was diagnosed to suffer from thigh muscle strain injury and it took about a week to rehabilitate to return to the field with the best condition.
In the practice session, Duc Huy was able to train with his teammates, but he will surely not be able to make an appearance in the match as an early finalist with Ho Chi Minh City on July 26 evening.
This will be a huge loss for the capital team as Duc Huy is one in Hanoi FC's few stable players this season, he is a reliable deterrent of coach Chu Dinh Nghiem as a defensive midfielder, disputing the ball and adjusting the pace.
Ho Chi Minh City FC is temporarily leading with 34 points, 1 point higher than the runner-up Hanoi.
By winning the direct confrontation against coach Chung Hae-soung side, Quang Hai and his team will easily defend the championship.
